I think the main obstacles at the moment are the scripting required to tie the player, the trains and the world together. Simugraph and other choices however? Are there alternative physics engines? Regarding to game architecture, I don't think DTG will abandon UE4, as it essentially means abandoning TSW for good. Without a consist and scenario editor, the game has very limited play value compared to good ol' RailWorks.
The German players have had a few runs up and down the line, found lots of bugs and errors, and mostly abandoned the game in just two days. Is this what you want to pay £25 for, oh, and don't forget the included bugs. This is a German S-Bahn route layout, underground stations with pretty tiles on the wall and plenty of dark tunnels, how exciting to look at, along with a boring 60 mile route with no freight yards/trains, only 1 EMU, the same scenery buildings and trees for mile after mile after mile, and virtually no AI and the same scenarios with the same train, in different weather patterns at different times of the day, but, you're still driving the same train, however, the graphics I understand are absolutely outstanding, one must not forget the good point!!!!
as I'm definitely not buying this one on faith alone!Have a look at some of the reviews and screenshots on Steam, Vern, then, make up your mind. Anyone bought this able to put up a review etc.
